Carwyn's Surf House in the South West corner of France was set up 16 years ago by ex professional Welsh surfer Carwyn Williams and now remains one of the longest running Surf Hostels in Europe. The Surfhouse is located just outside the famous surfing town of Hossegor in the beautiful woodlands of Seignosse. Over the years Carwyn has redefined what a Surfhouse can offer creating a relaxed atmosphere with guaranteed fun. Here at Carwyn's Surfhouse we strive on living the good life and having the most fun in and out of the ocean.
The southwest of France is renowned for having the most sought after and consistent beach breaks in Europe, if not the world. Everyday our staff assess the surf conditions and plan around our guests surfing abilities. We drive you to the best surf spots in and around the Hossegor area everyday and will surf with you and offer any guidance necessary, to ensure you catch as many waves as possible.
A perfect day is a trip to the beach to surf for as long as you want and then back to the house to chill out by the pool with an evening BBQ and a few beers.
For those looking for a little more activity or for days when it's flat there is skateboarding at the local parks, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding on the lakes or walking and
cycling through the surrounding forest. We are also located close to some of the best golf courses in Europe.
The Surfhouse has a choice of private rooms or 4 bed dormitories . Outside there is a large entertaining area with a swimming pool, BBQ, hammocks, and our very own bar. The Surf Hostel is also equipped with free WIFI, Sky TV, endless books and magazines, and skate/longboards all available for you to use.
